Cast on a multiple of 12 sts, plus 3.
Color A, cast on a multiple of 12, + 3 and Knit one row.
Row 1 (RS): Color B, K1, *K6, SL1, K1, SL1, K3; rep from * to last 2 sts, K2.
Row 2 and all WS rows: With same color used on previous row, knit the purl stitches and slip the slipped stitches as they face you.
Row 3: Color A, K1, *K1, SL1, K5, SL1, K3, SL1; rep from * to last 2 sts, K2.
Row 5: Color B, K1, *(SL1, K1) 6 times; rep from * to last 2 sts, SL1, K1.
